There are 3 of these available and can be purchased as single piece or bookends. They were priced by a specialist at $2,500 each being signed by the French sculptor PJ Menes (1810 - 1879). These pieces are from the late 1800's in age and they are solid bronze. They measure 10 inches X 6 1/2 inches X 4 inches. Signed on base~~~Please feel free to make an offer on these gorgeous pieces.

Wonderful 1860's Dog Doorstop out of the South Civil War period. Originally purchased in Alabama from a family who confirmed it had been with them in Civil War period. It has been painted a coppery shade, I think it was originally red since it shows shiny red paint underneath. Heavy and measures around 7 inches in height. Could be beagles/ labs? Has a lovely primitive look and could be handmade? Very desirable piece. $350.00
