Item 2. Antique Horse Oil Painting by E.J. Flaccus

Early 1900's Antique Oil Painting of a Tennessee Walking Horse by E.J. Flaccus who lived on Dement Road in Wheeling, WV.  This came from the Flaccus estate.  Eddie J. Flaccus was a political figure in the West Virginia Legislature.  He was related to George A. Flaccus of the Flaccus empire who was noted for the glass and packing manufacturing.  This painting done in a charming folk art manner depicts a regal black horse with red and white ribbons indicating it was a Tennessee Walking Horse.  I found a reference to a horse entitled "Go Boy Again" owned by E.J. Flaccus when he was older (this painting was done when he was a teenager) so we are assuming this could possibly be a painting of "Merry o Boy" or a descent just before that in this horse's bloodline.

Price: $1000
