Judith Banks Gallery

Superb Collection by artist Judith Banks (1902-1981), exhibited artist who was associated with Legonier, Pittsburgh, Rector, and Westmoreland, Pennsylvania.  Judith Banks was born on November 4, 1902 and died in February 9, 1981.  This collection came from her estate and is a true investment for the serious art collector.  Ms. Banks was well known in Legonier, Pittsburgh, Rector and Westmoreland Pennsylvania.   She was a member of the Pittsburgh-Legonier Artists Exhibition in the Arts League of the Legonier Valley.  She exhibited with the well known artists Fred Cox and William Komar of Johnstown who were were members of the Allied Artists of Johnstown.  This exhibition was listed in the Sept. 30, 1954 Indian PA Evening Gazette.  Judith Banks was also noted for participating in the June 26, 1960 art show and exhibition presented by the Arts League of the Legonier Valley.  She was a consummate professional artist who was prolific in her work. All of the artworks listed here are in very good condition, most on heavy wood masonite board, unframed.  Some are signed on the front and some on the back and some are not signed but are guaranteed to be by the artist Judith Banks.  Really a wonderful collection of Still Lifes and Landscapes as well as a self-portrait.
